Sonic Tonic is a mostly summer band, due to the fact that our lead singer, Lisa Baglione, has a day job in Philadelphia during the academic year. We’ve been making music for several summers now, and quickly fall into a tight grove when we get together. Last summer we were joined by Max Nunnemaker on sax and bass. Max’s subtlety is so good it’s conspicuous. In previous years Spencer Peery has played electric guitar with us. We’re the kind of band that can pull together other players, depending on the gig. Our music encompasses rock and roll, jazz, and folk. The sampler here represents more of the jazz side, but when we throw in drums and guitar, Lisa pretty much catches on fire, and we can ignite some party excitement.
