This was composed at the request of Eric Stumacher, director of the Keene Chamber Orchestra, and is specifically orchestrated for the KCO and the Keene Elementary Strings, which consists of close to 80 elementary school students on violin, viola, and cello. The piece is in three parts, which are musical formats common for contra dance tunes: a jig (6/8) a waltz (3/4) and a reel (4/4).

I am very honored to have been asked to do this, and hope that the piece brings as much joy to those listening as it did to me in the creation process.
